Welcome to Whetley Academy
Thank you for taking the time to look at our website to find out what Whetley Academy has to offer.
We work very hard to build strong, supportive links with parents in the belief that positive partnerships between home and school benefit our children. The ethos of the school is respect, tolerance, kindness and being the best we can be. We expect our children to work hard, co-operate, look after each other and achieve highly in everything they do! Above all, we want every child to enjoy school and be able to thrive in as many ways as possible. Please enjoy reading our website and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
Life is very different at the moment, please take a moment to see how our parents have responded to the care and education that have been providing in these difficult times.
“Thank you for all the hard work you are putting into the zoom classes. It is helping to bring a new level of normality to the way of life we are now experiencing. J is coping well. Your daily input via zoom is invaluable.”
“….just to let you know how supportive and motivational you have been to H. These are definitely challenging times, but we are so happy by the way zoom has been conducted how work has been given and more so how understanding you have been always making H laugh making him feel so good about himself.”
“I just wanted to take a moment to let you all know how much we appreciate the monumental effort to keep teaching during these difficult times. The Zoom classes put on by Miss B and Miss H (and I'm sure by other teachers too) engage U and provide critical feedback that I feel is essential for his progression.”
“I really appreciate all your efforts. you guys have been fantastic, so caring and supportive. you are doing absolutely amazing, I'm so happy with the zoom lessons and the work given the way you explain and engage with H. I like the school packs and how well laid out and thoughtful they are. He always has the urge to finish his work and any activity given on seesaw. He has started to read more and has made such an improvement. H is doing well and is learning, which is the key thing. H enjoys his zoom lessons especially art and science experiments.”
“My son is very lucky to have such an amazing teacher who is always available to help him, especially when he needs extra intervention, either through zoom lessons and/or seesaw.”
